The Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre Festival mounts major original productions of Broadway musicals with professional orchestras.The Festival Company is made up of professional Equity guest artists, Muhlenberg alumni, college theatre students, high school interns, and community members under the direction of skilled professional staff. The annual summer festival of stage musicals is sponsored by Muhlenberg College. Our productions are presented in the Baker Center for the Arts and the Trexler Pavilion for Theatre & Dance on the Allentown campus. Shows are performed Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre has presented critically-acclaimed productions of Carousel, George M!, Annie Get Your Gun, The Pirates of Penzance, Gypsy, Of Thee I Sing, Evita, Kiss Me Kate, My Fair Lady, On the Twentieth Century and Crazy for You, among many others. Now in its 27th season, the founding and continuing Artistic Directors are Charles Richter, Curtis Dretsch and Jeremy Slavin of the Muhlenberg College theatre and music faculties. Each season, the festival produces an affordable subscription season of stage musicals in the Baker and Empie Theatres and a studio production of a musical for children.

A Year with Frog and Toad: Musical Theatre for Children!
A hit on Broadway, A Year with Frog and Toad was nominated for three Tony Awards, including “Best Musical.” This stage musical remains true to the spirit of award-winning writer and illustrator Arnold Lobel’s original stories of two friends, the cheerful Frog
and the grumpy Toad. Recommended for Young Audiences - ages 4 to 10.
June 25 - July 26: Wed, Thu and Fri at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. - Saturday 10 a.m.
